چکیده
Abstract Selenium (Se) is an essential micronutrient with beneficial effects on performance and immune function. plays a key role in enzymatic metabolic pathways, primarily through selenocysteine-containing proteins. Despite increasing knowledge the of Se conceptus development, less known about its maternal responses during gestation. Thus, our goal was to investigate supranutritional Se-supplementation different trimesters pregnancy gene expression monocyte blood cells underlying biological pathways. To this end, crossbred Angus cows (n = 40) received, except for control group (CTR), Se-yeast boluses (105 mg Se/wk) first (TR1), second (TR2), or third (TR3) trimester Before calving, samples were collected from jugular vein, monocytes isolated used total RNA extraction. After quality RNA-Seq data, 13,810 genes tested differential analysis using t-test method implemented CeTF R-package. We identified 3,904 unique differentially expressed (DEGs) across all comparisons (FDR < 0.05). Differentially selenoprotein-coding included SELENOI, SELENOM, SELENON, SELENOP, SELENOT, SEPSECS. Most these downregulated Se-supplemented groups compared CTR. However, SELONOP upregulated TR1 TR2 groups, SELENOM TR3 Biological processes over-represented by DEGs, retrieved WebGestalt software Immune-related positive regulation system process, leukocyte migration, inflammatory response. Genes ILDR1, IL21R, IL9R, IL18BP, which On other hand, IL1R1, IL6R, IL1RN groups. Our results provide evidence that cell function metabolism affected supplementation.

Objectives: This study aims to investigate and compare cognitive function in different trimesters of pregnancy. Materials & Methods: This was a longitudinal cohort study. Participants were 76 pregnantwomen ...
متن کاملEffects of pre- or postpartum selenium supplementation on selenium status in beef cows and their calves.
The effect of Se supplementation before or after calving on Se status in deficient cows and their calves was studied using 72 beef cows in two experiments. In Exp. 1, cows calving in February or March 1997 were supplemented orally for 15 d in late pregnancy with 13.0, 32.5, or 45.5 mg of Se/d as sodium selenite. Glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activities were measured in red blood cells (RBC) o...
متن کاملMineral Supplementation of Beef Cows in Texas
The proper balance of protein, energy, vitamins and all nutritionally important minerals is needed to make a successful nutrition program, one that’s productive yet economical. Nutrient balance is the key to any effective nutrition program, especially where trace minerals are concerned. Today, there is concern that the trace elements may be limiting production in better managed herds to a much ...
متن کاملMaternal and fetal tissue selenium loads in nulliparous ewes fed supranutritional and excessive selenium during mid- to late pregnancy.
The objective was to describe the effects of dietary Se concentration and source on fetal and maternal Se load when fed to nulliparous ewes during mid- to late pregnancy. Pregnant, nulliparous ewes (n = 32; 45.6 +/- 2.3 kg; 330 +/- 17 d of age) were randomly assigned to treatment diets. Treatments were 3.5 microg of Se.kg of BW(-1) x d(-1) from the basal Se in the diet (C1X); 75 (S20X) and 350 ...
